Better than a Hallelujah

Lord have mercy on me. Why another surgery? I can't do this anymore. It seems as if it will never end. My faith is exhausted. I have no more words. I don't know how or what to pray anymore. What are you trying to show me? What are you trying to teach me? Lord please show me the way. Please heal my fragile skin.

Better than a Hallelujah
by Amy Grant

God loves a lullaby
In a mothers tears in the dead of night
Better than a Hallelujah sometimes.
God loves the drunkards cry,
The soldiers plea not to let him die
Better than a Hallelujah sometimes.

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah.

The woman holding on for life,
The dying man giving up the fight
Are better than a Hallelujah sometimes
The tears of shame for what's been done,
The silence when the words won't come
Are better than a Hallelujah sometimes.

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah
Better than a church bell ringing,
Better than a choir singing out, singing out.

We pour out our miseries
God just hears a melody
Beautiful the mess we are
The honest cries of breaking hearts
Are better than a Hallelujah

Better than a church bell ringing
better than a choir singin' loud
singin' loud

Sue,
I'm always praying for you. I think all you need to do, is nothing..let God take over, let God take care of you. I have a Bible verse for you, and I've added my own words to it. Exodus 14:13-14: "Moses answered the people,'Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance, the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians (cancer, pain, despair) you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.'" Hang on to God and your faith, he is fighting for you. Look at Job, he was rewarded in the end, God took care of him, he will take care of you too.
You're always in my prayers,
Andrea Wackerfuss

Sue-
Keep fighting! I know it seems like the surgeries will never end... yet I can't help thinking I am so THANKFUL for the medical help you have available to you. There are many countries and not that long ago for our country that there would be no medical help for you. You have skilled surgeons who are doing everything they can to restore your face. Praise God that you have that hope! It may take time and many more surgeries, but the doctors aren't giving up, certainly God is NOT giving up... don't you give up! Do whatever it takes to get well.
If you haven't heard the new song by Kari Jobe called "Healer", I want to encourage you to download it to your ipod and listen to it over and over again until you feel God's truth speaking over you.

Here are some of the lyrics:

YOU HOLD MY EVERY MOMENT
YOU CALM THE RAGING SEA
YOU WALK WITH ME THROUGH FIRE
AND HEAL ALL MY DISEASE

I TRUST IN YOU
LORD I TRUST IN YOU
I BELIEVE YOU'RE MY HEALER
I BELIEVE YOU ARE ALL I NEED
LORD I BELIEVE...

I BELIEVE YOU'RE MY PORTION
I BELIEVE YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR ME

JESUS YOU ARE ALL I NEED
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU
YOU HOLD MY WORLD IN YOUR HANDS

I BELIEVE YOU ARE MY HEALER
I BELIEVE YOU ARE ALL I NEED
OH YES YOU ARE MY HEALER

The arrangement of the song is powerful. Please listen and know that God is still working and HE IS YOUR HEALER.
Stand firm in your foundation and lean into God.

You are being prayed for by hundreds(?) of people Sue! You are not alone. God's strength is made perfect in your weakness. You are not meant to bear this- God is! You alone do not have enough strength- don't rely on your power -ask for God's power to fill you. He loves you and He is there for you. He will not quit and He will not forsake you.

I believe Sue... do you?

Love and prayers,
Nikki
